The troop has been a bit lax about keeping this site up to date, this is a start at getting the information current.
Information about upcoming events along with permission slips will be posted to this site as the information becomes available.
Spartan Speedway Cleanups have started, check the calendar for the dates.
About Us
Troop 417 is chartered to St.Casimir Roman Catholic Church located at 815 Sparrow Ave, Lansing, MI 48910. We meet year round at 7:00pm on Monday nights with the exception of school holidays.

5/29/10
Is
a scheduled Spartan Speedway Clean-up, we
start at 9:00 am. Heidi will be working so she need's someone to be the
go to person, for this event. She has boxes of gloves, the sign in
clipboard and trash bags that need to end up at the track.
For the new
parents as well as reminding us returnees; each family is required to
help on four of these events each summer. It is an excellent way for
the boys to put money in the accounts to cover their costs for camp
outs, events, and other expenses that arise.

Mr.
Schweifler has asked that each boy make two safety flags. They will be
learning signaling.
6/14/10
Possible Tracking and Pathfinding Merit Badge Counselor coming to
get us started.

Spartan
Speedway track clean up 9:00am.
6/21/10
7:00 pm at St. Casimir. Mr. Hoffman will be attending for us to
start Personnel Fitness Merit Badge, the workbook packets will be in the
mailboxes.
6/22/10
6:00pm Hike from St. Casimir to Fenner Arboretum for an
overnighter. We expect it to be about 3 and a half hours hike, it is
4.92 mi. (by my pedometer) so feed the boys prior and we will eat a
high protein snack fireside. Tony Moss and Heidi are the coordinators,
we would love any extra adults who wants to join up to us, either
hiking, camping out, or spending the day tracking, pathfinding, and
trail clean up at Fenner. We will keep them occupied, busy with
advancement stuff, and well feed. Cost $7.00. tomorrow an email will
come with Word attachment permission slip.
